What’s so great about movies you ask?

The great thing about movies is that you get a glimpse into what it’s like to be someone else for an hour and a half.
Like a book, a movie allows you to escape, but rather than create your own imaginary version of a book, everything is all planned out for you, no thinking necessary - all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the story.
Whether a movie takes you on an adventure, walks you through a love story, inspires you with it’s motivational message, impresses you with special effects, makes you cry, laugh, smile, think, with themes of culture, sports, drama, hardship, education, the future etc, it’s a new experience, something other than the life you know.
So what’s so great about movies you ask?
Their ability to introduce us to a new point of view.

Danielle: A bird may love a fish, signore, but where will they live?
Leonardo da Vinci: Then I shall have to make you wings.

—Ever After, 1998

Henry: What do you know? You build flying machines and you walk on water, and yet you know *nothing* about life! Leonardo da Vinci: I know that a life without love is no life at all. - Ever After, 1998

The truth is sometimes things aren’t exactly what you always imagined… they’re even better!
